ETCCDI Indices from model simulations available
Jana Sillmann and her team have compeleted the computation of
ETCCDI indices based on daily tempertaure and precipitation simulated
by the climate models participating CMIP3 and CMIP5 projects. The
indices data and documentations are available in NetCDF format from
http://www.cccma.ec.gc.ca/data/climdex .
ETCCDI Climate Extreme Indices dataset
This is a global land-based climate extremes dataset produced through
the coordination of the ETCCDMI. It comprises of 27 indices of temperature
and precipitation computed from daily station data using the
RClimDex software .
Note that more up-to-date indices are available from www.climdex.org
Indices are organized by country. Data for one country are packed in one
zip file. A file with the name of the country contains details of the
coordinates of all stations for the country. Data for the following countries
are available for download:

Algeria,
Antarctica,

is also
available .
The
European Climate Assessment and Dataset website also provide
indices computed for European countries.

Homogeneity adjusted daily data
Following daily data for Canadian stations are available from the Meteorological Service of Canada. Please
contact the authors directly.
- Homogeneity adjusted daily maximum and minimum temperature data for 210 stations (
Lucie Vincent, Lucie.Vincent@ec.gc.ca)
- Adjusted daily rainfall and snowfall for 450 stations (Eva Mekis, Eva.Mekis@ec.gc.ca). The effects of
documented instrument changes have been largely removed.
Daily data for European countries can be obtained from
European Climate Assessment and Dataset website.
Quality controlled daily data
The U.S. National Climatic Data Centre ( NCDC
) provides a variety of daily data for the United States and the Globe.
